The Story
Persistence pays off because cars sitting for years eventually come up for sale. The seller, a Mopar collector and racer, secured this Firebird in August 2024 after a friend discovered a stash of muscle cars in a Los Angeles storage lot. The friend left his number, and years later, the owner’s brother offered to sell them following the owner’s passing. The family wanted to sell all nine cars together, but the seller, targeting a single car, was able to buy seven, so this Firebird is one of six cars to sell.
This Los Angeles built Firebird retains its numbers-matching 350ci V8, producing 255 horsepower and 355 ft-lb of torque when new, paired with a TH350 automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear axle. It rolled off the line in Palladium Silver with a black bucket seat console interior, a striking combo. A reportedly lifelong Los Angeles car, it has rust in the body but nearly rust-free floors and trunk, with all damage and past repairs detailed for transparency.
The seller holds a California salvaged title in his name, with a reserve that must be met in order for it to sell.

What You Get
Drivetrain & Chassis:
The original 350ci V8 starts and runs with a gravity fed fuel can, though its condition needs evaluation after years in storage. The condition of the transmission is unknown since it has not been driven. It shifts into neutral and rolls freely through the 10 bolt axle. The factory suspension and brakes, which are discs in front and drums in the back, are all in place. The exhaust system is complete with H-pipe and dual mufflers. The car rolls on steel 14-inch Pontiac rally wheels.
Body & Frame:
The original Palladium Silver is visible in spots under multiple repaints in different colors. The frame and floors are solid, and all factory glass is installed, free of cracks. The passenger fender is free of bondo, while the driver fender has rust and bondo on the lower edge. The passenger door has rust and medium bondo in the front lower corner, with thick paint above the body molding. The driver door is similar to the passenger door, with rust in the rear lower corner. The door hinges on the driver door are causing it to sag. The passenger quarter shows rust and thin bondo behind the wheel, with thick paint on the front half. The driver quarter has rust and filler on the bottom rear. The tail light panel has cracks in the fiberglass. The roof has multiple paint layers with no apparent previous repairs. Review the photos for a full representation. The hood is most likely not original and is sourced from a Formula 400. The grilles, spoiler and other exterior trim are present, except for the side mirrors.
Interior & Floors:
The interior features black bucket seats with a center console, appearing mostly original and in serviceable condition. The factory dash and gauges are intact, with the face of the dash peeling. The radio is an aftermarket unit in the factory bezel. The floors are largely rust-free, providing a strong base for making it a ratty runner or restoration.

What You Need
Drivetrain & Chassis:
The numbers-matching 350ci V8 starts and runs but needs a full inspection. A basic tune up and carb rebuild should get you idling and revving. It will most likely need a fuel pump and fuel tank/lines cleaned or replaced. The water pump outlet is corroded and the unit will need to be replaced. The TH350 transmission and 10-bolt rear axle require evaluation once it’s driving. Disc and drum brakes need to be checked and repaired as needed. Body mounts, suspension bushings, and shocks, should be checked and replaced as needed. The tires are only rollers and will need to be replaced.
Body & Frame:
The body has a variety of rust and damage. Depending on what the plan is for the new owner, that will determine the extent of the repairs. The photos show where the rust bubbles are and where it has rotted through completely. We see this car as a ratty driver at first, with the option to repair the body after everything else is sorted out. The fiberglass hood has damage on the cowl vents. Source a trunk lock, driver-side taillight, rear panel, side mirrors, and driver door hinges to fix the door sag. The missing package tray requires replacement and new weatherstripping all around.
Interior & Floors:
The interior will be much improved with a new carpet kit, headliner, and refinished veneer on the dash face. The door panels need some attention if they are not replaced. The rear seat side panels need repainting or replacement to get rid of the speakers. Installing a new package tray will round out the serviceable interior. The floors are nearly rust free with only a couple small areas where it shows.
